120km RIDE TO ABORIGINES VILLAGE

4th June 2016

IT’S A HOLIDAY!!!

Tried to get rid of things in my head, decided to take a long ride. ( Ironically,  if I have nothing in my head, then I am?!?!… 😕) Just strolling along Kesas motorcycle lane and head to Jugra, a small town at Carey Island, 60km away.

There are two parts of Jugra, turn left from Banting Road is a tourist point, Jugra Hill. Head straight is where I went. It is just a huge palm oil plantation and a refinery factory that owned by a giant corporate. Only the aborigine village, Orang Asli Village (Asli Tribe Village) is the only place that is worth visit. It is a flat terrain with no shelter for at least 30 kilometres along the road. (Well, can’t take shelter in the palm tree plantation because I don’t want to breathe in poisonous chemical they used to spray to kill the wheat.) Though it was flat but it was quite a hard ride due to the heat and dehydration. I tried to maintain my cadence for reserving my energy to peddle for another 60 kilometre to return home, however the heat will still drain all my energy.

The common challenge to ride in Malaysia is mainly the killing heat. It is always 36ºC (96.8ºF) and above. I guess the sun really love this country, especially the cyclists. When cyclists ride in his presence, his hospitality is 100%. Sometimes even over doing it. But cyclist feels “overwhelmed” by his kindness. Gosh!

To my surprise, the route after Kota Kemuning, turn right to a rural area, was quite a dangerous road. The road was too narrow which only allow one vehicle to pass. Thus I was riding very close to other vehicles, sometimes I have to just ride on gravel road to avoid bigger vehicles. Especially when trucks passed by, I just have to stop and let them passed through. Not advisable to ride on this route.

Via Kota Kemuning turn right to this rural area.

Pineapple field and fruitful Jackfruit along the road without guard and it is safe, a peaceful village.

This is how the villagers spent their free time. Life is just easy and simple.

WHOA!!!😲 AGAIN?!?! 😭 What the…!!!💩 My “Sexytary”, Miss Google Map, lead me into an alien kind of territory that hardly see any lives around. Crap!…(Hmmm…seriously thinking of getting a new sexytary to replaced Miss Google Map….)

Orang Asli Cultural Centre (Top 2 pic). Entrance to the village (Bottom pic)

Orang Asli blow pipes. The weapon they used for hunting for their daily supply.

Art work in progress.

Handy crafts.

The musicians and the music instruments. Simple but nice. 20160604_121915

The beautiful aborigines ladies.

Whow! Though they are no more staying in the forest, but the urge of living with the nature still in their gene. One of the house of the villager.
