Free Day at Teluk Intan
27th June 2016
This was supposed to be an accompany ride with a group of three cyclist – Go Green Pedaling Around Peninsula, whom paddled 2598km around Peninsula Malaysia in 36 days. This would be their second last stop before the end point at Kuala Lumpur. According to plan, I am supposed to meet them here at Teluk Intan, and ride back together with them to Kuala Lumpur. But unfortunately, they were one week late from their schedule. My… Not able to spend extra 7 days just for waiting, hence, another un-planned solo ride again, just me and my little grey pony to hit on the road tomorrow morning. Meanwhile just a leisure ride to explore this beautiful town.
Not to forget to thanks my BRC members who purposely drove me all the way from Kampar to Teluk Intan, that saved me several kilometer ride in the “lovely” searing sun. Thanks folks!

The BRC members ( Buddies Ride Club)
From left back row : Stalker ( Auditor), Stuntman (Dentist) Me & Pony
From left front row : Consultant (CEO), Sighboy (Engineer), Sloth, The wind (Branch manager) and Captain (Principal) and Consultant’s mother (Not a cyclist).
The landmark – The historical Leaning Clock Tower. Hey, we also have a leaning tower in our Malaysia! YAY!!!
Cyclist friendly hotel, breakfast included for only RM89.00/night. They provide a corner for bicycles parking, but thanks to the kindness of the staff, knowing that my pony won’t sleep without me, they allow her to park in my room.
Never forget to try the famous ice blended in town, especially in a hot day when you will faint in the heat.
The very famous steam rice cake. People come from all over the country just for this.

The day and night scene of the tower. After this, It’s time to go back to hotel and get ready for tomorrow.
