Sekinchan To Klang 😠 – 80km of Butt Torturing Ride
29th June 2016
A tiring out of performance day. The whole stretch of road, from Sekinchan until Jalan Kapar, approximate 60 – 70km, was a battle with the wind. CRAP!!! How could the wind never stopped, don’t they feel tired keep blowing? And something that I don’t understand was, why the wind keep blowing to me from front and not from back? STUPID!😨
The terrain continued from yesterday, flat and long but not easy to tackle due to the wind. Same as yesterday, trucks flew by beside us (me and pony). The heat was worse than yesterday. (I got a feeling like the sun always get over excited when I am on a bike tour, when it detected me on the road solo.)
Along the way, only bushes and oil palm trees, but thank god there were a few bus stands and 2 or 3 pedestrian crossing fly over that provides shade. I stopped every time when I saw bus stand or shade, and catch my breath. The worse thing was, I forgot to bring my cycling pants along.😲 Just imagine to ride more than 100km continuously for two days with butt direct friction on the saddle. I could literally heard my butt yelling at me – HEY YOU IDIOT, WE NEED REST OR WE WILL BOYCOTT YOU WHEN YOU’RE HAVING YOUR HEAVENLY MOMENT!!! Damn!!! I think I need to soak them in hot water as soon as I got home.😖
Said bye to this unique container hotel and start my butt torturing ride.
The paddy field outside of the hotel. Harvest season just over, so won’t see the green field. Most of the rice in Malaysia comes from here, Sekinchan – The rice bowl of Malaysia. Formally a small fishing village (Fishing village again). Now the main supply of rice, a famous tourist point too.
Stopped by Kuala Selangor for a break, just 20km from Sekinchan. Formally was a famous fishing village (Again…sigh…), now the tourist will traveled 20km extra to Sekinchan. This town is famous for seafood and fresh catch.
