Rain never stopped yesterday, but the sun greeted us with smiling face this morning. Today’s highlight is Kuang Si Waterfall, just 36km away from our stay. Since it’s just a short distance ride, we decided to ride to nearby morning market to explore the Laotian’s daily living. The market located at a small back lane at the centre of city,  just a short lane but an eye opening experienced. Things that we know and things that are interesting but surprising.

I guess this is boar tail but has no clues of how they will cook it due to communication breakdown.

Yes! You are right! This is what I called surprise. BBQ rats and some kind of bugs. No idea was it wild or house rat. And the blue round things can’t tell whether they are eggs or fruits.

After almost an hour strolling in the market, we continued our ride. Headed south for about 10km, we came to the junction turning to Kuang Si Waterfall.

The road to waterfall was rough and muddy, occasionally pot holes spotted. Few not too steep but long slopes.

The one and only restaurant on the way to the waterfall, with beautiful view of Mekong River. We stopped here for lunch. The view was so nice that we were reluctant to leave early. So we only continued riding after more than an hour rest at this beautiful place.

Alright, long story short. There are many scenic points along the way after this restaurant that worth a visit. But considering not to bored you readers, please come explore for yourself if you want to know more. Or you can check with my “sexytary”, Miss Google, for more information. Meanwhile, I’ll just bring you straight to the waterfall.

After all the hard climbed and rough road, we eventually reached the gate of Kuang Si Waterfall.

After enter the gate, we 1st came across this “Tat Kuang Si Bear Rescue Centre”. It looked more like bears jail to me.

After the Bear Rescue Centre, we have to walked 30 minutes on this soil road to the 1st tier waterfall.

The 1st tier of the waterfall, water is calm and slow moving, beautiful green and blue. It is allow for swimming, but we dare not dip ourselves in the cold water in such a cold weather.

We continued to walked up hill to 2nd tier, here the flow is stronger, and have more pools for swimming. The water is greener and some parts with milky white.

3rd tier, the final tier of the fall. The fall isn’t really tall, about 100 metre, but it is beautiful. Just sit at the bench, breath in fresh air and relax.

A big tree in the park, I think need at least 6 persons to hug round the tree.

Here we are, left nothing behind this beautiful place, take back only good memories and photos.

On our way back, we went to the night market near our hostel, and wrapped up our day.
