LENGKAP TO TANJUNG MALIM – 89KM
After considered my butt’s conditions, and hearing the complaints of the suffering from butt cheeks, I decided instead of cycling pants, I changed to wear my “Khakis” pants without foam, and surprisingly, it felt so much better. The moral of the story, listen to your butt and you may found your happiness.
We rolled out on route A129, not far from riding, one of our team mate, Mr Lu, spotted a cracked on his front tyre. So we stopped by at this tiny village called Chui Chak Village. It means Water Gate in Chinese. This small village has only one bicycle shop, and there was no tyres of his size. But the shop owner managed to find one “Fire Wheel”; one and only red tyre, to fit the rim. And now our friend has a black and red in the front. Haha…
Something that puzzled me was, during the ride, everyday, literally everyday, we have a leaked of inner tube. And all these leaked happened only to male cyclists, ALL MEN! It never happened to any of the female cyclists, not even once. Weird!
After the repaired, we continued to ride to the end of the road, turned left to route 58, a few kilometres away, we reached another small village, Kampung Baru Cold Stream. Not far from this village, we passed by 2 beautiful lakes just beside the road. There was no name for these lakes, so i called them Cold Stream Lakes since its near to the Cold Stream Village. These lakes are beautiful, mountains view as background from afar and lots of fishes splashing on the surface of the water. My angel, Melissa Wong even claimed that she spotted otters… We took lots of picture here.
After passed by few more villages, as we turned to route 1 from route 58, our leader told us there were only 20 something kilometres to Tanjung Malim Railway Station, we are on our way home.
When Melissa and a team mate, Jessica, heard of this, I think they were eager to go home. They paddled so fast like dogs chasing behind them heading to the railway station. These two women were centre all the time of the ride but now they are the first and second position far ahead from other team mates. And I have to follow their pace and tailed them all the way.
By 2:20pm, we reached Tanjung Malim Town. 3:40pm we were in the train. Finished our tour and home we go…….
